This week, we introduced 100 new fish, weighing between 22lb and 44lb.

New Additional Stocking of 200 Carp, 18th Nov

Following some fish deaths in early 2024, Blue Lake had recovered well and, when anglers returned, the Autumn catch reports were good. In particular we noted that there were plenty of big fish being landed but in general less runs than before.

This November, as promised, owner Sebastien has carried out additional stockings of 200 carp to bolster the stock in the lake and ensure it continues to provide the good mix of big carp and also runs that the lake is so well known for.

Of the 200 additional carp stocked, the rough breakdown of sizes is as follows:
24% between 30-40lb (approx 48 carp)
66% between 20-30lb (approx 132 carp)
10% between 10-20lb (approx 20 carp)

This represents a huge investment for the lake and the sizes are impressive. A mix of commons and mirrors, take a look at the photos below to see some of our favourites now residing in Blue Lake!

An Update On The Fishing This Week, 27th Aug

We have had 3 anglers on the lake since Saturday (it's now Tuesday as of writing this). One of our anglers informs us they've had 5 carp as of now - 30's, 40's and one angler has had two commons at 52lb and 57lb. They've also had a number of grass carp on the bank (not included in the breakdown above).
