News from Brocard Large lake

Nov 2016

An Aerial View , 15th Nov

Here is a short aerial video of Brocard Large during the drain down and netting this November. We also included some photos taken as the carp were returned to the lake.

Brocard is drained and netted each year, small roach and zander are removed and the carp stock safely passed back over the net.

Poisson Chat- Go Prepared, 30th Aug

Just a bit of advice for those of you heading out to Brocard Large in the coming weeks...

Whilst the lake continues to fish well we do recommend you go prepared to combat Poisson Chat, a species found in many carp lakes across the country.

We recommend sticking to non fishmeal boilies or using plastic corn over beds of particle. You'll also want to take shrink wrap for your hook baits.

You can find more tips on avoiding Poisson Chat over on the blog here.
