No, from the point of view it’s full of bream which at no point mentioned, these were a serious headache at times

An absolutely incredible week, 163 fish in total across the group. Cats to 95lb, Carp to 51lb, Grass Carp to 38lb, Sturgeon to 38lb, surprise 2lb Zander! Multiple PB’s broken across the week.
David - 71 fish, 2219lb total weight (multiple 90lb+ Catfish)
Mike - 67 fish, 1713lb total weight (mainly carp)
Matt (4 nights only) - 18 fish, 512lb total weight (mainly carp)
Alan (4 nights only) - 10 fish, 223lb total weight (carp and 1 cat)

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Far margins or 3/4 across, mainly fishing snowman presentation on blowback rigs or tigers/ pop up corn on German rigs. Fish were active so no one spot was best, just react to where you see carp. Most fish caught on DNA baits bug, pellets and tigers in large quantities. The fish spawned while we were there and were definitely looking for bait with most bites coming immediately after rebaiting so make sure you take a lot of bait!

Yes, exactly as described/pictured.

Yes, perfectly adequate. Showers were hot and clean, everything worked as it should do.

If you’re looking for a social venue with non stop action, I don’t think you’ll find a better place! It was exactly what we needed after multiple covid cancellations.

Yes, absolutely. Angling lines have been amazing with multiple cancellations/ changes, can’t recommend them enough.

We had 80 fish, 5 x 40s to 47 + 6 cats to 60lb+, 35 x 30s the rest were 20s but nothing below 22lb

Stiff boom to the far margin with two tigers or snowman tip with maize in the old river bed

I fished this lake a lot around 15 years ago, I wanted to take my sons to old fashion French runs water, this place is perfect for that with a great mix of fish.
I would definitely recommend this lake to first timers and people who would like a break from hard waters.
