Yes definitely, at times the action was non-stop. this is a runs water with a good chance of catching predominantly carp, with a mix of cats and sturgeon. Sebastian, David and the team are all very friendly and helpful. A unique and fantastic feature of this lake are the fire pits in all the swims!

Details of your catches:

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
All anglers used particles and boilies but with varying tactics and varying results. Angler 1 swim 3/4 - 41 fish landed, Small bait boat, pellets/particles/boilies to far bank and road margin, using mainly Krill in bottom & pop-up rigs. Used 3 carp rods, 20lb line, had lots of water to play fish and could allow them to run if needed without to many snag issues. Angler 2 swim 5/6 - 15 fish landed, No boat, Spod mix to 3/4 across the lake, mainly monster crab bottom & pop-up rigs. Middle of the lake had left and right run options without many snag issues. Angler 3 swim 7/8 - 32 fish landed, Large boat, pellets/particles/boilies in larger amounts to far bank and to within 20yards of the far bank that goes behind the far island. Mainly Krill & Monster crab boilies bottom & pop-up rigs. Shallowest end of the lake anything that went left had to be stopped, which was an issue fishing at range. Had carp for the first few days but cats moved in back end of the week. Using 40lb mono, 5lb tc rods, 50lb braided hooklink and still lost fish. All anglers got snagged by fish on the far margins at some point, and also lost fish in open water (mainly cats). Anglers 2 & 3 went equipped with catfish gear and bait, but all the cats were caught on boilies. 28-35mm cat pellets did not work. Size 4 hooks are big enough when paired with 20mm boilies. Krill & Monster Crab were mainly used but when they were feeding they took most things, even Tutti Frutti 20mm pop-up. After the first night we only fished from sun-up to sun-down. No need to be catching these sort and size of fish at night when you can rest the swims and catch them in the day, plus you can get a good nights rest, because you don't get much rest in the day. Worked for us anyway. Essential tackle: proper catfish / predator gloves. Advisable: Tarpaulin to bring the cats onto if to big for a net. Highly Advisable: Bait boat (will 100% guarantee more fish)
Were the facilities what you expected?
Basic facilities but didn't need anything more. All kept clean and tidy by both ourselves and the party on the other lake that shared them.
Were you happy with them?
Free shower tokens given to you by the owner and one token last plenty long enough. Very hot water. Small upright fridge freezers, ok for ice packs and very small amount of bait, a chest freezer would be nice.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Definitely, if you want to catch more than just carp.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Used Angling Lines 3 times and never had an issue. Always had polite conversations and emails and kept informed of everything. Nice professional outfit.
General Comments:
If you don't want to catch catfish, then stay away, because you can't help but catch them, if nobody in your group has never caught one, learn what you can before you go, and definitely get proper gloves. Sebastian is great, very helpful and just pops down to make sure your ok and if you want anything. Anytime you need him just give him a call.
