Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Far margin with bait boat, stick to 3 spots and bait at 19:00-ish. Out of the 70-80 bites we had, 95% of them were from the hours between 20:00 and 05:00. Very slow during the days but was not uncommon for double takes at night. Boilie/wafters/tiger nuts over a bed of particle mix with some freebies worked well.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, basic drive and survive, 2 showers and a toilet, bailiffs supply plenty of tokens when needed. Standing Toilet also located behind swim 7/8. Can also charge your appliances in lockers (bring padlock)

Yes, everything you need and bailiffs check facilities daily

100%, great venue with wonderful hosts, leave you to it but check in on you every other day for a brief chat

100% will be back again in the future, one of the only lakes we have gone back to multiple times.

General Comments:

fantastic lake with very welcoming owners, lots of runs predominately at night however. Stick to your spots and bait generously to far margin and you will catch!

Excellent week had by all. Fishing during the day very slow, suspect due to heat. Lake very active during night.
We had approx 40 fish between us. Carp just over 40lb, Cats just over 50lb

Fish far margin, all baits seemed to work, live system, sticky krill, maize, muscles worked well for cats

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities all good. Hot showers, fridge freezers and power points for charging. Added bonuses for a drive and survive complex

Overhaul everyone in group happy and looking to rebook a return trip.
Note, Bailiff Sebastian was brilliant. Leaves you alone to get on with it, quick message for bait or any other issues, he was on it straight away

General Comments:

Make sure you fish with back leads, I made this mistake one night and was out of bed every 5 minutes

Plenty of carp up to 40lb not many less than mid twenties, grass carp from 24lb up to the best fish which was 51lb - a few cats but none fishing for them

Plenty of pellet with fishy boilies on the bottom

Yes showers hot, basic but have seen worse

More than adequate if you wanted to pick fault you could but not staying in a 5 star hotel - it’s a lake in the middle of nowhere

General Comments:

All bailiffs where amazing - if you are looking to go there is a great takeaway that delivers - (good food) just WhatsApp them the order. Best big supermarket is the Brau Supermarche. Brilliant social venue

A mix of carp and cats, few 30s, a 40 and a 50lb grass carp fell to James Breese, lovely fish
