Details of your catches:
Tough week as ready for spawning and water levels were down but lake still had plenty of depth.
1 x 50, 1 x 43, couple of decent 30's and some 20's up to 28. & 1 lost.
We only managed 1 x 50lber this time but when the carp were basking , we could see the high quality of the carp in this lake.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Some weed in the lake so fished to clear spots. Used lakes own boilies and Chod Rigs worked particularly well.

Details of your catches:
No fish and two takes all week. Other anglers on lake had only 5 fish with four being grass carp so only one proper carp caught.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
We all tried everything.
Were the facilities what you expected?
My swim, although strictly not a facility, still comes under the umbrella of comfortable fishing or not. The bailiff said that the water level had gone down about 4 ft due to water being taken by some authority and this meant I could only attempt landing any fish from the precarious steep slopes down to each side of the swim. The left hand side was impossible as lost a fish on the sharp rocks that were now visible due to the low water level. I tried to get in the water but the mud was too soft so gave up on that side. The other side was not as soft so could at least get a foot hold. I still had to make the area safe by building steps with stones from the swim. I showed the bailiff what I had done and he just said yes that is fine. There was also an overhanging tree that would have made it difficult to land any fish. I have detailed photos of all of this. Just getting the bait boat out and in was difficult. I am still quite fit but struggled all week and was glad to go home. Even if I had caught lots of carp I still would write this review because it is so very poor that after paying double for a double swim that my experience was ruined. The previous week on a different fishery I caught ten carp with two 40’s and 6 30’s amongst them and the difference in communication, quality of swim exceeded my expectations unlike Evaro which shattered them.
*Angling Lines note* Lower water levels, whilst not affecting the fishing, did change the layout of the swim and for that we sincerely apologise. It was, as mentioned, due to the large reservoir nearby undergoing maintenance, and a temporary issue whilst the work takes place. Based on this feedback, the swim however has now been improved further to take account for the lower water levels.
Were you happy with them?
The shower and toilet were fine and the fridge was a good idea.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Absolutely not in my swim. At least the two other swims were safe and fishable. If I was the in charge of the lake and I knew I had paying customers and in my case paying double for my swim I would make sure to make it as comfortable as possible. Consistent information regarding the lake is a must with all anglers otherwise you start to doubt what you are doing and your experience is effected.
*Angling Lines Note* Advice was given dependent on the swim location and where anglers were fishing, therefore there will always be variation in the information offered for each swim. The lake (as with many comparable lakes in France this week, due to weather turning from very cold to very warm very quickly) was fishing hard.
