Were the facilities what you expected?

Everything in the description was exactly what we found and actually even better than we expected.

Were you happy with them?

We had everything we needed and more. Access to unload at the swims, the social lodge had everything you could need… fridge/freezer, excellent kitchen, power, entertainment… perfect!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Absolutely and already have.

Absolutely. Very smooth, great communication and very easy for a first timer fishing abroad. Also we booked last minute which was seamless and no problem.

General Comments:

This was our first fishing trip abroad so didn’t really know what to expect. What we found was an absolute 5 star experience. The location, the facilities, the fishing.. we loved it! Barry greeted us with a warm welcome and gave a wealth of information on how to approach the lake.. which is beautiful.. and was always on hand to offer help or assistance when or if needed.

We cannot wait to go back loads of quality, pristine fish caught with records broken and memories made. We can’t wait to go back.

Between the 6 of us we had a mixture of mid 30s and 40s - Mirrors, commons and the odd grassy.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

20mm boilie and a pop up snowman on 5 inch rigs.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Absolutely. Amazing for a social, sitting in the lodge everyday, cooking and laughing together. Even had a couple of movie nights.

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely, so much so that I couldn’t imagine organising another boys trip without similar facilities. Barry really has thought about what he wanted his lake to be. Based on his own fishing trips around Europe, he’s designed a lake that allows for a social without the need to bring your rods in.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

110% - Lads groups, families, any group would have an amazing trip.

Absolutely. The trip was easy to book and angling lines helped us out at the drop of a hat more than once.

General Comments:

Just an overall amazing trip. Barry was fantastic. He was on hand straight away with tips and advice, always at the end of the phone if you’ve got any questions on spots or tactics. The facilities are fantastic, the socials are top, and that’s all without the mention of his pristine carp. What a lake, what a holiday!

Weather conditions not ideal this made the going tough, there are also large numbers of nuisance silver fish

Weather was RED hot when we went, so fishing was a little tricky, but 2 out of 4 got new PBs!

First time we’ve used this company, absolute faultless, from booking to the day of departure, nothing was too much trouble

General Comments:

Beautiful place, perfect place for a good social. Barry is one of the better bailiffs, gives you a few pointers then leaves you to it, not one of these, fish here fish there type, helpful and nice bloke!
