Makeovers, Food Packages & Bread Deliveries, 4th Dec
The Jonchery complex has been busy this winter!
Full food packages (breakfast and evening meals) are now available at €125 each for the week. There are also daily bread deliveries, just let bailiff Mark know what you'd like the day before.
The facilities have been spruced up ready for the 2015 season, with a new lick of paint and a brand new shower.

Welcoming Mark, the new bailiff at Jonchery #7, 17th Nov
Mark Slade and wife Anita have joined owner Paul at the Jonchery complex this season. Some of you may recognise the couple already, having successfully run Frisby Lakes in Leicestershire they're now embarking on a new adventure in France.
They will be living on site and offering optional food packages for both Jonchery & Jonchery #7 anglers. Prices for the food packages are yet to be determined but we'll let you know ASAP.

Advice for Baitboat Users, 29th Oct
We recently asked one of our trusted field testers, Ron Key, to advise a customer planning on using a baitboat at Jonchery #7...
If you are going to use a bait boat the left hand side of the peg is the place to be. The peg is slightly off centre on the road bank and a bait boat would give you the option of fishing to your left at distances that would be difficult to cast.
I fished the left hand side of the swim and caught most of my fish at the bottom of the drop off along the far margin. My friend fished the right and caught in the near corner and all along the end of the lake and in the far corner. We were able to walk around the lake and bait the margins by hand and cast to most of the spots (quite a few people take a bike). We used a mix of particles and boilies and baited up twice a day and topped up with a few handfuls after each fish.
We did not catch many carp in the open water but don't ignore stalking. I used to walk around the lake looking for bubblers and throw in a handful of bait on each area I located. I followed up later with one rod and landing net and caught fish to 39lb+. The carp in the attached photo was caught a rod length out at the left hand end of the lake on a boilie wrapped in paste and a pva bag of boilie crumb.
Hope that helps
Cheers Ron
