Me and my Dad had 26 fish up to 46.10lb. Great weeks fishing, very hot weather, lovely well looked after place, everybody there was nice and helpful.

37 fish mainly 20's & 30's and 1 x 40lb fish at 43lb 6oz......biggest was a 62lb 1oz grass carp. we had a number of fish from 33lb to 37lb in excellent condition.

23 fish lost due to the weed.

Tree line spots, keep them moving with a handful of bait boated out, bottom double baits

General Comments:

Everything was excellent food, people, facilities, the lake was very shallow making it hard work as the double peg is tight with 6 rods and the single peg was not fishable due to weed.

the team had done the best to clear the weed to allow decent fishable conditions which really helped but towards the end of the week it was growing back causing issues with lost fish and leads but nothing major.

really enjoyed the fishing / lake etc and we got the rewards with the fish we caught 2 pbs at 62lb 1oz grass carp and 43lb 6ox mirror.

take plenty of leads we lost around 30 but great week and will return sometime in the future maybe to fish the large lake.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Found that the fish were away from far margin, weed growth encouraging fish to move around more than last visit, baitboat used to drop bait in tight patches. Also caught with cast single baits.

Good shower , freezer very useful.

General Comments:

Fishing was slow as carp had recently been spawning, first week of hot weather also, fishing improved as week went on, carp started to spawn again on the sat we left.
Great venue, lots of wildlife to admire, no light or noise pollution.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The fish were not really eating a lot, best tactics were a handful of pellet and a dozen or so boilies in each spot either in the far margin or the left of the lake.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, same as last time, shower/toilet block with dining area, fridges, freezers, power for charging and heating to dry off.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, extremely and always kept clean.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Absolutely, friendly well kept venue and Mark (Bailiff) and his wife cannot do enough for you to ensure you enjoy your holiday. Mark will always give you fishing tips if your not catching which always seem to work. I have to say apart from the fishing Mark is one of the main reasons we keep going back, he makes the difference between a good venue and an excellent venue.

Yes, cannot fault Angling Lines, always willing to help and communication is first class from Julie and the team.

General Comments:

Another fantastic trip to Jonchery 7, did not catch as many as we would of liked in tough conditions but the fish we caught were in stunning condition and gave one hell of a fight. A great fishing holiday.
