Details of your catches:

A productive week despite extremely hot weather, we battled through highs of 35 degrees the whole week. Landing several fish including carp over 40lb and a grass carp just under 40lb. Martyn finished top rod with 6 fish to 43.8lb, he unfortunately lost a massive sturgeon right at the rod tip, the length of it filled the entire width of the massive swim, considering that there is a sturgeon swimming in Lepinet weighing up to 190lb, I’d imagine it was that one.
Guy landed a couple of fish to over 40lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Finding productive spots early in the week and building bait on them proved key. Fishing at range over prebaited areas worked well. Max Attract boilies stood out and played a big part in the success.

General Comments:

A good trip all in all, and a venue we all said that we would go back, just as long as the heat was turned down a couple notches, but you can’t control the uncontrollable! I’d recommend Lepinet to anyone, great venue with great facilities, big open comfortable swims and sunsets to die for.

General Comments:

I fished for two weeks.

The first week on swim 11 on the North and caught 3 fish and lost 6 in the snags. The weather was very hot indeed and was not really ideal carp fishing weather.
If you fish swim 11 then be prepared to loose fish (it will happen). If I return to the lake I would not fish swim 11 again simply due to the amount of snags to the left. I had a boat with a motor but still lost fish.

The second week I fished swim 2 on the South, the weather changed after four days and I began to catch fish up to 45 pounds.
Differently to swim 11 I did not loose a single fish and ended that week with 7 fish and three of these were 40+.

All in all I would recommend Lepinet North and South but would not recommend the end swims if you are not prepared to loose fish. The reason I was able to fish swim 2 on the second week is because I was the only person on the lake. Being someone who fishes alone I am unable to book a double swim unless I pay twice so meaning I will not fish Lepinet again as only the end swims are single swims.
*Angling Lines note* 01.07.26, maintenance work has now been carried out on swim 11, the banks have been tidied and cleared.

Angling lines service top notch at as always so not a dig at them. There is no way this venue holds the stock it claims. Last year 1 week 3 x fish to 50lb, this year 1 x common and dozens of monster Bream. The general feeling among anglers is the same. Only around 15 fish out this time amongst whole lake, less last season. Its a shame as top beautiful lake. Do not go expecting a runs water. Its hard fishing. Too many anglers making it harder for themselves and other anglers by chucking in tens of kilos of bait on arrival using the hired row boats. Totally kills the fishing. Due to the distance you need to fish at i understand the use of boats but there needs to be a max bait allowance. Its ruining the venue. Staff are lovely and happy to help. Its really not sour grapes. Have spoken to many regulars. Is what it is. If your booked dont panic, the place is beautiful and this is my opinion only. There are better venues with better and less of a drive.
*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We have spoken with owner Sebastien regarding the stock, he confirms our stock description is accurate.

Details of your catches:

Lepinet North swim 11, 12 fish caught & 6 lost. Majority smaller fish, however 38 and 43lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing for a bite & not piling the bait in, two - three bait scoops per rod. Best tactics balanced tigers & Ronnie rigs with yellow popups.

Snag fishing was the most productive but ensuring you use snag leaders and being prepared to be on the rods day & night. I found lots of snagged rigs when patrolling the margins in the boat and catching fish. Using the correct tackle is essential.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Excellent as usual… great to have these on site, showers, power & fridge freezers.

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely….

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, two groups came with us on this visit & when we return in August.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes & previously have done…

General Comments:

Overall great relaxing venue. Great quality fish to be caught. David & Sebastian both extremely helpful when needed. Local amenities within a short distance should you require anything.
