Details of your catches:

28 fish caught between 6 people. Mostly mid 20’s with a handful of mid and upper 30’s and two fish in their 40’s. There were strong winds for the week and the fish seemed to hang off the back of the wind. This meant the group on the opposite side had an amazing weeks fishing catching over 50 fish between 3 of them. It was colder than normal for the time of year. Sebastian the owner said if it were warmer it would have fished a lot better.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All types of rigs and baits were used across our group. Nearly everyone fished to the rope. Don’t ignore the margins or bays if you have an end swim at either end of the lake.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were ample for a drive and survive venue. Good shower block, toilet and large chest freezer also two large fridge freezers for both north and south parties. They have UK plugs so you can charge everything you need.

General Comments:

We were initially booked on another venue but sadly they had a fish kill. Angling lines couldn’t have done more for us. They provided several other venues for us as a back up option. Great communication and did everything possible so that we had a great fishing holiday.

16 x 20lb up to 29lb 13 x 30lb up to 39lb 2 x 40lb up to 44lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All tactics from bottom baits, wafters and pop ups worked well. Regularly topping up the spots with bait to keep bites coming.

General Comments:

Angling Lines have been brilliant organising our trip last minute due to an issue with our previous booking.

Details of your catches:

50 carp caught between all 8 of us. Biggest carp 40lb. Biggest Grass carp 42lb. Multiple large bream caught.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing to the buoys. Various baits used amongst us wafters and tiger nut picking up most fish

Yes more than adequate.

Again, Yes the facility’s are excellent great showers plenty of freezer space and fridges for both sides of the venue

Always do. Been using Angling Lines for several years now and cannot fault them. Customer service is excellent

General Comments:

The venue and facility’s are excellent. Unfortunately none of the big girls came out but given the late spawning we done well. We did however have a lot of bream. The bailiff gave one of our group a net to place the bream in and he collected them a couple of times through the week. Maybe put a net in every swim and ask all the anglers to put the bream in them. Won’t take long to thin them out.

Details of your catches:

31 bites total with 26 fish landed.. mixture of all sizes from mid-double carp to 46lb 8oz then with the added large sturgeon… I’d estimate this fish to be 160 - 180lb the fish is huge..

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Just fishing for a bite applying bait per fish & not just filling the lake in. A lot of night bites first half of the session then moving onto day bites there after.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities for a fishing lake are absolutely fine. It’s a shame people can’t get rid of the empty loo roll inners but there you go. Power & freezers all give also.

Yes just what I needed throughout my stay….

Yes most definitely.. we met two gentlemen whilst fishing from previous week and unfortunately they had broken down. The guys commented Angling Lines & lake owner most helpful throughout.
