50 fish in total between 3 of us, biggest 46lb mirror on the very last night, rest was a mix of 20s and 30s with several cats, biggest at 35lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We fished the cabin swim and down the far right margin in the lilypads. Biggest fish came from open water between the aerator and the island. It was 35c degrees every day but still had fish in the day time, most prolific time was during dinner, overnight and in the morning with a few coming out in the afternoon

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes facilities were perfect, great to be able to fish and cook at the same time, no need to bring the rods in at all. Cabin had everything you needed, nice shower and proper toilet unlike some places we have been. Good size fridge, hob, oven, microwave, toaster... what more could you need.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very happy

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes would definitely recommend to a friend, Richard was really helpful and wants you to catch so he couldn't do enough. I'd definitely recommend the venue if you want somewhere with everything you need, good hard fighting fish and still get that surprise because you dont know whats going to take your bait, i'd happily go back.

Yes Angling Lines never disappoint, used them for the last 7 years and always made it easy

General Comments:

The lake and facilities have everything you need, we did sit there one night and talk about what we would do if it was our lake and we couldn't really come up with much! Richard knows his stuff and he cares about you enjoying your holiday so he's done everything to help you bag up. We had a fantastic time and are eager to book our next trip!

General Comments:

Lake owner Richard very friendly guy lets you know lots of useful information not only about fishing tactics bait etc but where local shops are. Also at the end of a phone if needed, definitely a 10/10 holiday I would go again and again.

Finding fish, small beds of bait, lots of margin work and wafter. Pink was the best colour for me but also match the hatch with colour toppers.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Absolutely perfect, what more can you ask for. Shower was good, and kitchen well fitted.

I would definitely recommend, fantastic little lake.

Caught 35 fish in total, 12 of which were catfish

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Shallow corners of the lake (not lodge corner), quality bottom bait. Pops and wafters did nothing.
Very silty, longer rigs and spinner rigs were effective

General Comments:

Richard the owner is a lovely guy and very helpful, aided by his lovely dog Bob.
The lake is beautiful and very peaceful, however it is a bit shallow, virtually all the carp were in the shallows given the hot weather. Carp predominantly came from the 2 gate side corners of the lake. My personal opinion, also our group opinion is that the lake is not suitable for 5 anglers, 4 at a push, but ideal for a group of 3. We caught between us all the big catfish in the lake (plus plenty of very small ones) and with the layout of the lake they caused carnage, 3 rod set ups were wiped out on numerous occasions. As previously stated 3 anglers would be less on top of each other, allowing for more productive angling.
