Update on Linstant, 4th Sep

At the end of August 2026, with a relentless heatwave, the lake suffered an oxygen crash that meant a loss of some of the carp stock - the lake was temporarily closed to allow for solutions to be found and a comprehensive plan is now in place to restore the stock.

The lake will be netted in October to take count of remaining stock (so we have concrete numbers) and based on that an additional restocking will happen this winter - meaning L'instant will be back as planned for the 2027 season. We will keep this webpage up to date with all the details as it happens but have absolutely no doubt, with the plan actioned by owner Fabien, that L'instant will be providing the same great holidays for 2027.

Birthday Week, 18th Jul

Another great week that ends with our friends from Scotland. A long journey that was worth it with a new record in the bag for the young lad and a nice moment shared this Friday evening to celebrate his 20th birthday!

Winter Session, 19th Jan

Two fishing buddies visited Linstant in December for a short two day session and managed to land eight carp. Despite the cold temperatures the fishing proved very encouraging with all fish falling to small pop ups presented on a pop up rig. At this time of year they favoured using small PVA bags to keep the presentation tight and attractive.

The carp caught during the session ranged in weight from around 18lb up to 37lb.
