Details of your catches:
35 carp to 17lb, 2 koi to 10lb, 2 tench and 6 catfish to 16lb. Whilst none of the larger carp in the lake showed themselves, the weather had been very hot prior to my visit so it's possible this had an impact on the feeding of the larger fish. The majority of the fish I had were under 5kg, however, the numbers helped to make up for the lack of larger specimens.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Boilie over a bed of particle and crushed boilie on a simple hair rig. The fish seemed to prefer the deeper areas during the day coming into the shallows close to the in the evenings and early morning. A bait boat is an absolute must as the margins are quite difficult to hit otherwise.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Better than I thought they'd be. The sleeping pods were ideally positioned close to the main fishing platform to allow quick access to rods but far enough back to benefit from the shade of the trees and allow plenty of room in front so as to not impede the fishing. They had lighting and power to charge essentials like phones and bait boat batteries.
The shower/toilet and kitchen room was a welcome addition and added some luxury to the experience. Just the ability to get out the heat and have a shower really made a difference.
Were you happy with them?
More than happy. Everything was clean and ready to use on my arrival. Fabien and family were incredibly good hosts and couldn't have done more to make my stay a great one. The main fishing platform allowed good access to the majority of the lake and there were two additional platforms further down to cover the bits that weren't accessible from the main platform.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Definitely. The set up there makes the whole experience very enjoyable. Fabien is more than happy to provide advice and takes a real interest in the tactics and fishing choices of his guests.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, the whole experience was really easy from start to finish.
General Comments:
The venue is really good. It's peaceful and makes for a great location to spend a week. As above, Fabien and his family are great hosts who went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one. I'm already looking to book this venue again for next year.

General Comments:
A more relaxing venue would be hard to find, the lake looks like an English estate lake with overhanging trees on both banks. The angling huts are ideal and spacious with a good view of the lake, if you're looking for a peaceful relaxing venue I would certainly recommend linstant. Fabien and his family and ideal hosts and are very welcoming

Details of your catches:
10 fish caught. 3x 30's, 3x20's 1x18 and 1x 12lb Koi plus two pasties on float.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Started on plastic boilies incase of crayfish issues but they hadn't got too active yet. First fish came to a sweet plastic boilie - rest were caught on proper boilies with fish based boilies preferred by the fish. All fish came during the night or early morning other than the pasties. Far margins the most productive but keep at least a rod length of it but to tree debris/brambles. Good idea to fish shallows during the day to keep fish moving around the lake. We fished from huts at night and fish moved away during the day.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Exactly as described and whilst basic give you all you need.
Were you happy with them?
Yes - actually better than we expected.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes 100%. It is perfect for two anglers who don't want luxury accommodation and want a venue that is challenging without being ridiculously hard to catch
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes - Other than issues with finding the venue that was probably down to our sat nav everything went smoothly and communication from Angling Lines was great.
General Comments:
Fabien and his wife who run the property are amazing hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. It was my wife's birthday while we were there and Fabien booked a restaurant for me for the day and then in the evening he came down with his family with cakes and candles - totally made my wife's day. With good English from Fabien and pigeon French from me we were able to communicate well and had a good laugh. We have never felt so welcome at a venue as Fabien and his family made us feel. Respect their rules and the fact they live on site and you won't find a more friendly lake to fish.
If you go there in the height of summer ensure you have decent plastic baits or armour mesh as its clear Crayfish activity will occur then.
