Angler facilities
The angler facilities sit approximately 50 metres from the main swim, close to the dam wall. This room contains your shower, toilet, fridge and freezer. There's also a microwave, induction hob and kettle for your use. The facilities are connected to mains water, making the water safe to drink.
This is also where you will park your vehicles and a barrow is available to transport your equipment to your swim.
Owner Fabien and his family live on site in a house set back from the dam wall. They are very friendly and approachable, but will leave you to get on with your holiday unless you need anything. A boules court is available for your use too.
Lakeside pods
You then have the two pods on the main swim, which are clean and modern, each with their own electric points and lighting. You'll need to bring your own bedchairs etc, but it certainly gives a much more comfortable alternative to setting up your bivvies.
Directly outside the two pods you have a gravelled area complete with a BBQ and picnic bench. To the front you have a wide wooden platform built out into the lake, with enough room for two sets of rods. From the main double swim you'll get the morning sun and enjoy some afternoon shade - perfect for the hotter months!
Because of the pods' proximity to the water, it is no problem to fish at night whilst sleeping in them.
There is a rowing boat provided with a life jacket, which must be worn. There is also the option to rent an outboard motor at the lake.
A mat, net, weigh sling and weighing tripod are also provided for your use free of charge.
Optional accommodation
The additional simple cabin is tucked away on one corner of the lake, approximately 100 metres from the main facilities and around 150 metres from the main swim and pods, you can view the lake map here. Unfortunately, it is not possible to fish from directly outside the cabin accommodation.
The cabin is compact and open plan, sleeping 4 guests with a double bed and two singles in the form of a bunk bed (the top bunk has limited space due to the curvature of the roof so is perhaps best suited to a child). There's also a small storage cupboard, electric heater and electric points. Outside, there is a very pleasant decked area with a table and 4 chairs overlooking the lake. Bed linen is provided for the cabin accommodation.
Please note; there is no shower or toilet within the cabin itself - these are located 100m away in the main facilities block.

Local Area
Just 3km from the lake there is a bakery, tobacconist, small shop, pharmacy, doctor, restaurant and a pizzeria. The nearest large supermarket is 10km away.
The lake is located in the heart of the Vendée countryside, 20 minutes from the fabulous Puy du Fou theme park and an hours drive from truly beautiful beaches (Les Sables d’Olonne, La Tranche sur Mer etc).
