General Comments:
By far a trip to remember and maybe never repeated for myself. Mehdi’s hard work throughout the last few years on poisson chat removal has certainly paid dividend!!! The fish have benefited massively on the return of anglers and all the bait going to the carp not poisson chat. This was proven over this week with huge weight gains and PB’s being toppled frequently.
A truly incredible week to remember with lake records for both common and mirror carp being recorded. However I can’t see these records lasting for the future anglers as these fish are only getting bigger , so good luck lads and girls . This is a lake of dreams ?????

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
All anglers fished similar tactics with all of the bites coming from the far margin or side margin in the end swims. Pop ups accounted for most of the bites with pop up corn fished over Mehdi's parti blend dropped from the boat.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Facilities were more than expected for a weeks holiday, massive freezer for all baits, decent fridge to keep all food in for the week. Shower was excellent. 4g signal was more than ample in all of the swims.
Were you happy with them?
Really happy with them.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
I would definitely recommend to a friend, and will be visiting again in the near future.

Angling Lines were great with all the fussing around covid. Mehdi was great in sorting out the covid tests in a local pharmacy for us which took a big worry out the end of the trip.
General Comments:
After hearing the lake had done 42 fish the 2 weeks before, and 46 in the week prior to us arriving, I think we had an expectation that the fish would be on the feed and we would be filling our boots in regards to bites. The lake did seem like it started off slowly for the week with only a double and a grassy coming out within the first 36 hours. The bulk of the fish seemed to come out between monday-wednesday with the lake basically shutting down with only the one bite after Wednesday.
After 2 really good weeks of angling with anglers returning i think this was a fairly good week given the weather was on the warmer side of what you would expect for late September.
Through the week we went through approx. 60kg of Mainline Cell & 100kg of Mehdi's own parti-blend.
Poisson Chat were not a problem for any of us during the week, i wrapped bottom baits and popups to start but no damage to any of the baits which hadn't been wrapped.
One thing to note - a couple of times we had fairly sensitive bites with the alarms only registering single or a couple of beeps but the fish had made significant movements in the lake (that was with fishing fairly tight lines) - margins are super deep in all swims so drop off/captive backleads would for sure be making their way with me on a return trip.

Details of your catches:
The weather was perfect to begin the first three days was warm, following this the temperatures raised and the fish switched off. They pushed the fish up into the top sides of peg 5.
Glen fished peg 4 into 5 so continued to catch.
They were originally showing far bank up all pegs.
Fish caught;
Peg 1 - 35.10lb Mirror, 48,10lb Mirror, 39.20lb Mirror, 53.10lb Mirror, 55.30lb Mirror

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Particle (Medhi provides) boillie and critical balanced single baits. Medhi provided the boillies and wafters. They worked for us apart from the hot weather moving the fish to deeper water.
Watch for showing fish and you could cast and boat to them. Fish were caught quite quickly at times with bait going in and ten minutes later runs occuring
Were the facilities what you expected?
Excellent as always with the facilities
Were you happy with them?
Brilliant as always
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes definitely
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes
General Comments:
No real issues with Poison Chat this week, Medhi has worked hard over the past two years every week catching the removing the chat. Only a few few balls observed. We didn’t have much issues. We maybe had two or three bottom baits attacked. If you then wrap them you will not have any further issues
