12 fish 2x 50s 4 x40s. Most fish came from pegs 3, 4, 5. The Fox common went 57half lb in lovely condition. And a 56 mirror. 4 anglers

Tactics varied single hookbaits worked in one swim with a few scattered. Where as Baitboat worked in other with quite a bit of bait in boat. All fished to far margin. Baits that did Manila and cell

General Comments:

Overall great week . Knew it was going to be tough . But stuck to it worked hard and we all had rewards. So very happy.

26 fish in total with 7 fifties including the fox common with a average of 43ib and collective weight of 1120lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Various tactics from each anglers included baiting heavy and tight to zonal spread and small traps seem to work very well, the fish were in the mid columns most of time in there safety zone and not been tempted by zigs, as the previous trip seen peg 2 dominated this wasn’t the case as the fish were spread out and at times right under your rod tips!!! The baits we used were cell, live system, nutcracker and Manila, snowman to singles and fake corn accounted for all captures. *poisson chat * Obviously from previous feedback we were concerned and catered for eventuality of combating the problem, we knew water temps had dropped so there activity would be minimal, but I must say is that we hardly had any problems with them at all!!!! The poisson chat have always be present in old oaks for a number of years and lengthy summers have made them thrive but medhi has started to reduce them massively in setting traps in each pegs with fish meal paste which he empties regular with great results which in turn will reduce them considerably not causing the angler problem in return thus not affecting fish weights and the addition of predator will contain the problem!!! All fish caught were all in tip top condition!

Definitely would recommend this venue to anyone, it has and does what it says on the tin and more, a few teething problems this term but well on the way to being cured

General Comments:

Fantastic week with pb’s broken. The escape from reality is what’s its all about.

We had 21 fish between the biggest being the 55.5lb fox common.

We used a variety of methods to try to avoid the dreaded poisson chat. Plastic baits were best but real boiles caught the bigger fish if they stayed on long enough.

A good week considering the cold weather and high pressure.

51 fish between 4 anglers - the most caught in a week since the lake opened 13 years ago. 50's x 3 - up to 52lb 8oz - this fish was caught 2 nights in a row by the same angler - Me 40's x 18 30's x 20 20's x 3 Doubles x 4 Grass x 3 Bream and chat

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing for a bite at a time, hook baits wrapped or used plastic baits. over hemp, sweetcorn, party blend, pellet, boillie. No point baiting heavy as chats were on the bait as soon as it was dropped, loads of liners. A lot of the bites were instance, as we believe the carp had no choice but to eat there and then or they would go hungry as chat's would clear the bait. We did have bites 4, 5, 12 hours after putting baits out, but we believe by this time we were fishing single hook baits
