General Comments:

Mehdi was outstanding, the venue top notch with a excellent head of well kept fish. The water level at the venue was approx 3 feet above normal due to the heavy rain over the previous winter months, this meant peg 4/5 was slightly smaller than normal but still plenty of room and not a problem netting any fish. Access is good to and from all the pegs with no problems unloading and loading. You have to be on your rods at all times if you're fished tight to or in the snags locked up, remember the fish are very large and know where the snags and bars are. Also remember the lake rules about leaving your rod unattended. No problems with the shats and a small problem with the rats, they are coming in from the flooded field next door, however 1 call to Mehdi sorted that out. I am sorry the read the problems encountered by the next group, we had no such difficulties. I cannot understand how a venue can change in a matter of hours from being excellent to a dump??? I think I speak for the other 3 anglers as they are of the same opinion as myself. Excellent venue, top notch owner, well done Mehdi, keep up the good work. P.S to turn up at a lake and expect to catch fish as a right is asking to fail you have work for them. That's why it's called fishing not catching.

Details of your catches:

Poor fishing due to weather and lake being hammered week before, 1 prolific 24 hour period! Peg 5 - 7 fish biggest 48 mirror Peg 3 - 5 fish biggest 49 mirror Peg 1 - blank

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Various

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes

Were you happy with them?

Yes, but do feel lake could do with a bit of work, massive rat problem and poussant chat problem and swims a bit small, but over all great venue and owner top bloke!! **Owner's note** Regarding rats, I used poison last week and will continue to do so each month. Poisson chat, I'm afraid this is the only week we have seen a problem with them, since march to now nobody else had any issues, we will keep an eye on this.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, but pick your week carefully

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tight to the far margin, brightly colored tipped baits, and popups. Fished locked up in pegs 3 & 4 due to snags. All fish mainly came during the day except Lee's 54lb Common which came on the last night.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Superb facilites Double chest freezer - plenty big enough for food and bait for 5 anglers. Double fridge English sockets for charging phones boats etc Very hot water 24/7 good shower and english toilet. Brick built BBQ as well, just take a bbq grill and pop it on the top, or use the ones left by previous anglers. You don't beat these facilities, especially the freezer.

Were you happy with them?

Yes - we have fished Mehdi's other water Laroussi back in 2006 so knew about them from them.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes definitely. You need to watch for spawning, our fishing slowed down from the Tuesday/Wednesday and was only mainly peg 1 catching due to this.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Angling Lines always there to help, either by phone or email. 10/10 for the service we always receive.

General Comments:

Our best week in France in over 10yrs for average weight, PB's and just volume of big fish!! My first 3 fish were all 50's, all caught by sunday night, thought I was living the dream!! We definitely come back to this venue, or any venue Mehdi has influence in as he his a first class owner, who is always at the end of the phone if you need help or advice, if not he leaves you to your fishing.

Lee - Peg 1 - New PB till later in the week!!

50 lb 8 oz

Les - Peg 3 - New PB

49 lb 3 oz

Bob - Peg 2 - New PB

Details of your catches:

Very slow fishing due to hot sunny clear days and bright clear nights, the day when it became overcast we caught our only 2 fish. They were however 54.10lb common and a 50.5lb mirror so 2 pb`s at least made up for a slow week

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Do as Mehdi says and if you have a bait boat have somebody around the far margin with the remote and steer it over and drop the bait right by the margin as close as possible and the 2 fish we caught were on boilie topped with pink. As Mehdi told us generally swims rank in order of 5 the best down to 1 being the slowest

Were the facilities what you expected?

yes the shower was nice and the fridge and freezer are nice and big plus there is British plug points

Were you happy with them?

yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Definitely, it is a stunning venue, very private and set in the country

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

yes

General Comments:

We just happened to pick one of those weeks unfortunately but would go back and hopefully get the weather a bit more unsettled next time
