General Comments:

Another very enjoyable trip to Old Oaks. I arrived during the stormy weather and this helped the fishing with 5 takes in the first 30 hours, unfortunately two were lost which is gutting given the average size of fish in this lake. After that the weather and the fishing calmed down, with a quiet last couple of days. But to catch fish of this size in January made it a great session. Cant wait to get back there!

Very hard fishing the has not fished great for a while but We had 8 carp and 2 grass carp between us Myself had a 40lb 4oz 45lb 6oz and 75lb 4oz Steve had a 46lb 4oz John had 55lb 3oz 47lb 12oz 28lb 14oz 51lb 12oz and 2x20lb grass carp

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately the English adaptors do get replaced but they keep going missing again. We have now edited the facilities description to advise anglers to bring their own. Apologies for the inconvenience of this and thank you for letting us know.

General Comments:

A very difficult week, the weather was very hot, humid with no wind on the water which had a big effect on the lake. It was easy to locate the fish with most holding up in the far margin under tree canopies or anywhere out of the sun. They had no interest to feeding during the day or night no matter we tried or where we fished. The Poisson Chat were very active and there is a lot of them including big balls in most swims. (Be warned) Unfortunately we picked a bad week with all the elements against us but that's the luck of the draw and carp fishing!! We hope the next party has a better luck than we did.
