Seigneurie Fish
There are approximately 390 carp in the lake, both commons and mirrors, up to over 70lb. You will also find some pike, zander, bream, tench and roach. There are a few grass carp and no catfish.
Shortly after being dug in the late 60's, carp were added to the lake and a number of these original stock still thrive today.
The first part of an additional stocking programme took place in the winter of 2018. A total weight of 2,500lb was stocked comprising:
* 104 x 18-22lb, with an average weight of just over 20lb.
* 16 x 25-30lb, with an average weight of just over 28lb.
* 1 x 40lb.
In the winter of 2021 a further 135 carp between 10-20lb were also added. Then, in November 2025, a further 41 stunning carp were stocked, ranging from 9-20.9lb, each with impressive scale patterns and beautiful colouring.
As you can imagine, these carp have really grown on since being stocked and the largest is a common at over 71lb. You can read the feedback section to get an idea of the weights these carp sit at now and what you can expect to catch.
The carp have been fed on maize and pellets through the winter months. There is an ongoing programme for additional stockings of carp each year.
