I had 17 carp, biggest was 59lb. My mate had 5, biggest was 33lb.

Tigers with yellow corn on top, but the big one was on a tutti fruti bottom bait

The shower was fine but you had to walk around the lake, but it keeps you fit

General Comments:

Overall not a bad lake and the owner is excellent but it has an out of bounds at one end and we all felt the fish we’re holding there meaning only 1 swim that boarders the out of bounds had an unfair edge. If I could pre book that specific swim I’d happily come can but wouldn’t take the chance on the draw until the out of bounds is looked at.

26 Fish in total, 2x 50's and a couple of forties.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Far margins with yellow wafters and some fish caught with bottom baits out of the bag. Once the fish had settled after spawning, we upped the amount of feed to hold the fish for longer.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, the shower and toilet are very good and clean, when we come again we will bring a bike to get around the lake.

Were you happy with them?

Yes they were exactly as advertised

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Definitely, Bruno the owner is very helpful when needed, but leaves you to it the rest of the time. I would also consider swims other than the willows as they were very productive during our week.

Great lake which we will return to if available, hopefully when the weather is slightly cooler.
