Details of your catches:
Great weeks fishing. 27 carp, 4 sturgeon with the balif confirming the big one to be estimated at 140lb plus. 1 x 51lb 08oz, 2 x 48s, 4 other 40s and the rest 30s and 20s. Did get more grass carp then I would like but with 2 being 40s, cant really complain.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Fished to a central mark that would get traffic. Put bait over and fished slow sinking/snowman baits. Caught on both fishmeal and sweet boilie but came away from fishmeal towards end of week to try to avoid the sturgeon.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes.
Were you happy with them?
Yes. Only note is toilet door is a little close if you're taller.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes.
General Comments:
Lovley venue and we got very lucky with the fish weights. Would recommend if you are looking for a chance at a 40/50. It is a beautiful lake to sit and watch. There are rats although we didn't have any issues with them, we only saw the odd one.

Details of your catches:
Only 3 carp caught
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Spinner rigs and maize on standard hair rig
Were the facilities what you expected?
Basic but has everything you need
Were you happy with them?
Yes they were what we expected. Could maybe use a chair in the shower area
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes. We’ve been to Blue lake before and done well but for some reason this time we just couldn’t get them feeding but that’s fishing for you.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
100%. Step by step guide makes things so easy
General Comments:
Disappointed to only catch 3 but the 3 that were caught were all beautiful fish. I think the fish had shoaled up at the other end of the lake and the guys on peg 3 done very well but that’s the luck of the draw.

Details of your catches:
Grass Carp 43.3,
Common 39.13
Mirror 34.5
Lost a couple of fish including the big sturgeon.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Tried most tactics yellow baits seem the best.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Facilities were very basic but adequate, with hot shower and running water and electric power point.
Were you happy with them?
Coat hooks in the shower unit, and maybe a chair/stool would be handy.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes without a doubt.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes without a doubt, this is the sixth time using Angling Lines and every time has been spot on.
General Comments:
Weather not as expected, few days of rain and really cold nights, but temperatures did pick up, but then that's beyond control.
The access and track is brilliant. Sebastien was great too.
Trees have all been all cut back. The rat issue was not a problem. Just seen one the full week we were there.

Details of your catches:
Our group had:
3 Carp
1 Sturgeon
And bream
There were 3 of us on 1 side of the lake and another 2 on the other side. Thought we were in to a good week as my friend caught 2 carp on the Sunday and I think the 2 lads had caught on 1 carp the first day. I caught a bream on the first night but we don't count them lol. My mate also had the sturgeon on and took him everywhere around the lake, even taking out the other lads H blocks on the other side of the lake but he lost it and ended up with all his end tackle back.
As the days past we were just catching a couple of bream here and there which most came through night. I think on the Tuesday or Wednesday morning around 8am, I had a take which was a 65lb sturgeon and manage to get it in safely but did put up a good fight. Thursday night my mate had a pale looking mirror which was the heaviest carp our group caught coming at over 41lb.
To be fair it was a hard week for us but at least we bagged some. Temperatures are not ideal yet for the carp to be moving frequently, 15 acres, around 20ft plus deep in some places, so yeah was kind of tricky.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Snowmans and 2 double corn (popped up) was mainly our go to rigs as we did try other tactics but didn't work.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yeah basic really, 2 fridges and 1 big chest freezer plus electric to charge whatever you need. The toilet would be a little small for a big guy and also the shower is quite small. But cant really complain, we were there to fish simple as that.
Were you happy with them?
Yes
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
I would recommend this lake yes, but in the warmer months of the year.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes
General Comments:
I've seen some bad reviews on here about the rats, crayfish, coypus and general maintenance but when we were there we saw 1 coypu and maybe a couple rats at the night which you see pretty much anywhere on 90% of lakes. The place was clean and could see the work they have been doing cutting down tree's etc.
They guys that run it were cool and we had no issues. My mate got a puncture and on the Monday the guys had it sorted for him a few hours later. They took the wheel to a garage to be repaired, that cost 50 euro which weren't that bad to be far.
