General Comments:

Lovely place with very good fishing, Martin the owner can't do enough for you, has a vast knowledge of fishing and cooks a lovely meal, this lake is good now but once Martin puts his plan for the place into action it'll be even better.

Details of your catches:

32 carp landed up to 44lb, mainly 30s and one of the group only fished during the day. The weather did not help the fishing with morning frosts and lots of cold rain. 32 Carp between 3 and 1/2 anglers was good considering the weather.

Fish to the far margin over scattered boilies or use single solid bags

Were the facilities what you expected?

As we were the first anglers to fish the lake under the new owner Martin, the facilities were still under construction.

Were you happy with them?

Even though the facilities were still being constructed, they were fantastic and you had everything you could possibly need whether doing a drive and survive or hiring the house. Bedrooms, kitchen shower etc. All in brilliant and tidy condition. If I could offer one peice of advice......have the food package!! It was absolutely brilliant. I would genuinely liken it to "restaurant quality!". One member of the group put on 8lb over the week which says it all, we never once felt hungry and looked forward to each and every meal! Fantastic!!!

100%. If you are looking for somewhere to visit that has great fishing and food, this is the place! When it comes to the food that Martin provides with his food package you will not be disappointed.

General Comments:

The lake is new, but the fish are clearly catchable, we saw fish lurking in the margins much bigger than the 44lb caught, unfortunately for us the weather wasn't on our side and made things more difficult but the food and hospitality provided by Martin made the trip brilliant regardless.
