My fishing partner 1 Catfish 30lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Nothing worked and I tried everything I could think of. Mainline Cell, Maison Matrix Boillies(Fish based, caught MANY times with it) flavoured sweetcorn unflavoured sweet corn, Spam, Halibut Pellet, Pepperami, Tiger nut, Fruit boillies, and many combinations of the above including 'Popped up' and with spodding vast beds of bait or presenting single baits. I also fished at varying depths. All baits I have had really good success on and are widely used.
Pretty disappointed to be honest. This was my first trip to France carp fishing after fishing many years on different lakes in England and taking on board advice from angling lines and going for a moderate lake. Cost per person when including bait and food would have been at least £400+ so its not somewhere you choose to go without a little advice, but also a little confidence that you will get what you are going for. This was also a summer period with days that were hot and sunny and ones cooler and overcast.
We were both VERY disappointed.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were good and the owner was very nice.

Were you happy with them?

Yes they were adequate for the trip and activity.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

No.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Depends on how the feedback is received and treated. To be honest I understand that you can not guarantee catches, but where it has happened(And I am sure this is rare) there maybe should be some sort of discount on a future trip to retain custom if nothing else. I was happy with Angling lines and the service we received but ultimately we wanted to go to France, to your lakes and catch some fish. This didn't happen.

General Comments:

This is not a complaint as such, but is an obvious disappointment to us both. Hopefully you will see it as that and maybe with a little bit of compassion.
PS The only photo's I have is a bivvy 32lb my rods 2lb and the lake !

Details of your catches:

3 Grass carp to 26lb and 2 mirrors of 24 and 26lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tiger nuts tipped with fake corn

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were slightly better than expected with a fridge, a freezer and cooking and washing facilities being available

Were you happy with them?

Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes

General Comments:

Slightly disapointed with the fishing as after the first 2 nights the fishing died but we think this was due to a change in the weather as it was unusually hot for this time of year and then over night the temperature dropped by over 10 degres.
