Lake record common, 30th Aug

Andy Sherman landed a lake record common carp, weighing in at 58lb. Congratulations!

An Update, 19th Aug

We're delighted to say that Blue lake is simply going from strength to strength. Not much has changed over the last couple of years other than the usual maintenance - the swims are still nice and wide and that’s great for the social aspect with many being doubles. Choice of swims are plentiful.

The carp have a really impressive growth rate now with most catches now including 40’s or 50’s the biggest mirror so far was 59lb, nearly touching that magical 60lb mark. The sturgeon are doing well too with 92lb being the biggest.

We are pleased to say that despite the long drawn out heatwave experienced this year, where the anglers faced sweltering temperatures, the water depths in our gravel pit no doubt helped good catches to continue.

We're looking forward to that target 60lber being broken in the latter part of this year or early next.

We listen to feedback too, so please keep it coming. In response to one, we have placed a charging shelf above the freezer so battery charging is a tad simpler and you don’t have to move everything off to get into the freezer. Sometimes the most basic things can make life easier!
