We had a slow week due to the fish getting ready to spawn but we still managed 10 fish between us with 1x50 2x40's 3x30's 4x20's so we went home happy.

We caught on mainline boilies and tigernuts fished to the far margin

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were basic but clean. The path from the carpark to the swims under the trees could due with some work as after heavy rain you need wellies or waders to get back to the van.

Were you happy with them?

Yes more than happy apart from the path

Great venue with lots of big fish

27 fish including a 57 common, 2 different 56 lb mirrors and 7 40's to 48lbs.

The average size of fish was higher than we expected and were in excellent condition.

Fish were caught from 30 yards out to right out to the far bank.

The farmhouse is a short drive but this didn't present any problems and the facilities were basic but clean and adequate.

Yes, a stunning peaceful lake with a lot of big carp present.

General Comments:

The fishing seemed very weather dependent. Still hot days produced little but a bit of rain and wind seemed to activate them immediately.

The track from the car park is boggy and a bit of a pain, something that could be easily fixed. Also, we ordered bait and had a confirmation email from Chris but he was away so we didn't receive it. Luckily we had enough bait with us to get through the week. The previous party had taken the life jackets home with them so there were none available for us. Not only could this have impacted on our fishing holiday but also presents serious safety concerns. I was not impressed.

Been before so all as expected.

One note though we all look forward to our holiday each year but for the group next on the lake to turn at 8:30 am is not on. It states on the rules no EARLIER THAN 1PM !!!!! Come on play the game this is the second time this has happened to me at boux and it does annoy me its my holiday too.
