Details of your catches:

A great weeks fishing. Having been to Boux before we knew what we where getting, a really good fishing venue, but with little in the way of facilities. The fishing at times was made difficult as the cray fish were very active and were cutting the lines at the back leads, leaving baited lines in the water for fish to pick up. This also created problems as there was fish trailing lines, luckily for the fish all our lines and more were all retreaved with big tangles in the lines.
As for the fish I had a total of 45 fish to 43.12 with 4 being over 40 and an average over 33lb .Steve Young ended the week with 21 fish to 47.06 with 5 being over 40 and Pam who ended with 5 fish to 39.08.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

cell and grange single baits worked pretty well the angler with the most fish in the group came from simply catapulting boilies over rigg

General Comments:

i would definitely recommend boux lake to any carp angler looking to fish a good lake in france a beautiful lake with lovely big hard fighting fish cant wait to fish it again my only complaint is that the crayfish are a bit of a headache cost us 20 odd fish between the group from snap offs due to them eating through our lines would recommend anyone fishing the lake in august when there in extra savage mode to be prepared

Details of your catches:

12 fish to 45lb 10 oz. 10 Mirrors, 2 Commons.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

9 of the 12 fish were caugh fishing from the right hand side of the wooded bank to the Dam wall and the far bay. One was taken close in from the right hadn side. The other two came came from fishing from the left hand side of the wooded bank.

The best bait by far was fake maize/corn as it did could not get attacked by the crayfish which in the heat were rampant for 4 days.

The two biggest fish were taken fishing over pre-baited beds of particle.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, a stunning drive and survive venue with some lovely fish. The facilites are basic but fine as long as you dont mind driving back up to the house.
A bath/shower mat and some teatowels would be a good idea as someone else has mentioned.

Were you happy with them?

Yes.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes definately - but perhaps not in the height of summer due to the crays.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes - we have had three good holidays with you at 3 different venues and AL have been very helpful and speedy in dealing with any queries we have had.

General Comments:

Beautiful lake, great countryside. Some stunning carp too. Bait has to be rowed out or use a baitboat from the wooded bank. Casting any distance was difficult due to overhanging trees.
We took a day out and went white water rafting at St Martin de Puy. Highly recommened.
It is a long drive from Calais - about 7 hours both ways for us.

Details of your catches:

We had 29 fish - 7 in 40s up to 45lb, 18 in 30s, 4 in 20s and the Koi.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Used own boilies 16 and 20mm topped with rubber corn, also snowman rigs all to far margins. Didn't bait up too much.

Had a big storm on the 3rd day which cleared the air and refreshed the lake. Caught fish all times of the day had a brilliant week. Photo's to follow.
