yes facilities were what we expected for a drive and survive venue though a little far from the lake
Were you happy with them?
yes clean and tidy,, somewhere to keep bait and food fresh charge batteries and a quick shower... what more do you need.??
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

long drive from calais but the hard fighting carp make the trip worth it..
apart from the distance for the facilities i cant fault it

4th May to 11th May 2013
2 anglers
Details of your catches:
Total fish caught 26 carp + a number of
small pike that grabbed boilies on the retrieve!
Ken 54,47,45,42, one 30 and one 20
Andy 45,43,41 (common) + 11 30's and 6 20's
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
All the fish were caught in depths of 4 - 6 feet
which given the water level was between one
and two rod lenths from the bank. Most fish
came at long range. Baits were from the Mistral
range mainly Rosehip and Squid / Liver
Were the facilities what you expected?
The facilities were great - best shower I have
found in France. However the lodge is a lot more
than 500 meters from the lake by road and
you have got to cook on the bank if you don't
want to spend a lot of time away from the lake.
Were you happy with them?
The only gripe we had was the track to the wooded bank which was impassable even
with a fatboy power porter due to the high
water levels and the amount of mud - we fished the dam wall and used bait boats to fish a wide range of distances.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes. The venue is tranquil and unspoilt,
Phillippe just lets you get on with fishing and
the fish are in fabulous condition and scrap
beyond belief especially in the deep margin
of the dam.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
ABSOLUTELY!!!
General Comments:
Although the venue is rated for 5 anglers
I would say that given the configuration
of the available bank space that anything
more than 4 would be tight.
Thanks for a great trip - Boux is certainly on the list for a repeat visit.

3 anglers
Details of your catches:
29 carp - 1 x 50, 10 x 40's, 12 x 30's, 6 x 20's
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
The temps ranged from 22ºC down to 1ºC while we there. We had thunderstorms and lightning on 4 of the days, water rose by 30cm while we there. The carp were not feeding therefore targeting showing fish paid off. Also setting small traps, fishing for a fish.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes
Were you happy with them?
In general yes.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes
General Comments:
All the banks were flooded. The Woods bank needs sorting as was inaccessible without wading or using a boat.
