However two thirds of the fish coming out of swims 1 & 2. Only one carp over 40lb and one cat over 50lb.
Too many small cats and grass carp present ruining the fishing.

General Comments:

We fished this lake 5 years ago and not a lot of changed in terms of appearance, however it hasn't improved apart from a few snags in the shallow end being removed. The swims could do with a tidy up and extra gravel put down as its very muddy between swims, also lots of dead trees (above 3 &4) above the swims that could be dangerous in high winds with falling branches. The fishing is worse than 5 years ago with small cats and bream being a nuisance and need thinning out also the lake is heavily silted.

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. The owner visited the lake immediately and has removed the tree above 3 & 4. They are also now using traps to remove the smaller nuisance fish every other day from the lake.

Fishy waters in a pellet boilie mix seemed to catch the most. Same colour hook bait as boilies in mix

Really liked the venue, as expected (need to remove bream), apart from that brilliant.

26 fish between the 3 of us. Cats up to 98lb and carp to 50lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bottom swim and far margin produced most of our bites. Mixture of venue supplied pellet and maize mix’s with sticky baits boilies. Changing hookbaits from day to day wafters bottom baits and pop ups all produced bites through the week. Having a bait boat is defiantly an advantage and sometimes bites would come within 30mins of redoing the rods.
Cats defiantly fight well and would come during the day. Good layout for a social water.

Yes, they are just as described and as per photos on here.

Yes. They are sufficient for a drive and survive venue! Water is nice and hot!
