Details of your catches:

Fishing was hard due to 29 degree heat and bright blue sky. Only managed 1 fish during daylight and that was a Cat.
Night fishing was good.
Saturday night saw the biggest Carp which was a 37lb 12oz Common and 2 x grass Carp to 21
Each night I averaged 3 fish, a mix of Carp and Cats.
Biggest cat was 102lbs going down 80, 65, 60, 40 and my 6 year old landed his first Cat at 33.
Caught 22 fish in all the rest being a mix of Common and Grass Carp

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

For the Carp I used Krill Boilies with a orange Krill pop up. Bed of bait was the maize mix sold at the lake, 4mm pellet, boilie crumb and whole boilies with a good glug of Krill liquid.

Cats I started with Halibut pellets and a variety of Cat Pellets and oversized boilies with no luck. A visit to the Supermarket and a pack of Mackerel fillets did the trick. Big bed of small pellets and a fillet worked for me.

Were the facilities what you expected?

I had read a lot of negative reviews about the facilities and was a little concerned as i took the wife and my son.
The showers were great, loads of hot water, clean and the toilet was also spotless. I do not understand why people had complained. This is a fishing venue not a health spa and found the facilities to be perfectly good.

As always found the service of Angling Lines to be great. Would not consider booking with anyone else.

General Comments:

Had a great time, lake owner visited everyday to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
This holiday was more than needed. If I was not so exhausted with work I could have fished harder than I did and have no doubt I would have caught more. I took it easy, caught some good fish and relaxed.
I will be back.

Really slow fishing due to what we think was spawning but overall was happy with the lake and owners really helpful. Will definitely be coming back!

General Comments:

Great runs water, facilities are basic as described but clean and useable water for shower nice and hot.
Fridge and freezer and electric supplied are good.
fishing was non stop, we lost count on the Wednesday after about 80 fish.
Owners very helpful and always on hand if you need anything.
We will 100% be back.
