Deux Iles Rules

  • Please arrive by 11am for a walk round the lake, if you did not book the lake exclusively then the draw for which island you fish will take place at 12 noon
     
  • Car access is possible all around the lake for unloading. Cars are to be parked in the car park area closest to your swim. Cars are not to be driven around the lake unnecessarily
     
  • The lakeside cabin is available upon arrival
     
  • Please depart no later than 10.00am
     
  • 3 rod maximum and please do not leave rods unattended

  • Please make sure fish are not out of the water for longer than need be (5 minutes max)
     
  • All anglers must carry and use fish antiseptic to treat the fish

  • All anglers MUST bring waders to safely release the fish into deeper water
     
  • Barbless hooks only - size 4 maximum

  • Minimum 18lb Breaking strain mainline. No braid as mainlines (but it can be used on marker and spod rods)

  • NO leadcore, NO leaders of any description - TUBING ONLY

  • Upon capture, the hook MUST be removed from the carp whilst still in the water. Hence waders are required at the lake to accommodate this.
     
  • No fish are to be retained for more than a few minutes, anyone caught sacking or retaining fish for longer will be asked to leave

  •  If you wish to use the boat to bait up, then please inform Bruno, the bailiff, who will come to your swim and take you out on the boat to do so. Life jackets are supplied and MUST always be worn when in the boat

  • Particles: only properly prepared & cooked particles sold at the lake are allowed. Particles available onsite are - maize, hemp, particle mix, and tiger nuts. Please clean the buckets after use.
     
  • Pellets: only those sold at the lake are allowed. Please do not bring your own, as you will not be allowed to use them. This is to ensure only low oil content pellets are used for the carp’s safety
     
  • Only paying guests are allowed on the lake. The angler is responsible for any damage caused. The owners cannot be held responsible for loss or theft during your stay. No refund given for early departure
     
  • People found leaving faeces anywhere around the lake will be asked to leave immediately. You will be asked to leave for improper behavior of any kind
     
  • Please, no swimming in lake and standard regard for litter and levels of noise
     
  • No anglers under the age of 16 to fish alone, they must all be accompanied by a capable adult angler fishing the same swim

  • Dogs are allowed, but we must be notified in advance at point of booking

  • If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.
