Party of four with slightly mixed results. We knew we might be a bit close to spawning and this made it a bit tougher than we expected, but we still all caught, including one of the two catfish and one of the two grassies. Dave had a few 30+ and at least one 40+(he only took small scales!)

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

A mixture of snowmen, ronnies and topped boilies. Kept the feed pretty light

Were the facilities what you expected?

Better, everything we could need (except a coffee percolator which we bought and left for the next user). nice to see essentials such as tea towels and washing up liquid were all supplied

Definitely. Gary and Ang were perfect hosts and we have already booked to have a go on south lake next year

General Comments:

Right from the beginning of booking our trip Angling Lines have been happy to sort and answer our questions.
As for Gary and Angeline they couldn't do enough. I ordered my pellets and particles through them, it was on the accommodation door step when I got there in a cool box, he comes round 2 or 3 times a day with piper (their dog, very friendly) to see if everything is OK, we had a problem with the Sky TV, he sorted it straight away. He tells you what to use, as in rigs, bait and where to bait up, he will also check your rigs, bait and set ups, what you need to know is all in the rules, but if not sure ask.
They have a BBQ on a Thursday evening if you order the meal package, we did our own meals but the other group took the package, we got a invite to their bbq, they are a very friendly couple.

Great hosts, food package, facilities and all swims neat and tidy with good lake access and cradles and slings in good condition.

Very good accommodation, clean tidy, everything we needed. Great to have bivvy out, but the option to go in accommodation too.

General Comments:

Enjoyed the holiday, and very relaxing, food package suited our party perfectly. And couldn't fault it. Just what we needed.
Fishing was difficult with spawning, but just down to timing. All in all an enjoyable week
