4 x Catfish to 54lb, 4 x Carp to 31lb (Common, Mirror and Grass). Inconsistant weather meant carp were paired up waiting to spawn otherwise I'd expect a lot more based on previous experience.

General Comments:

Just booked for 3rd Year. Food package is superb - Ange is a great cook - Proper homemade food. Gary and Ange are great hosts. Location and Fishing is great. Local town with Supermarket, Tabac, Pharmacies 5 mins away

All had 30-s few 20s fishing was hard as they got together for spawning unfortunately

General Comments:

All I can say about everything is absolutely brilliant food was exceptional the owners were helpful and a lovely couple had a great laugh with them just a great week spent here and we are returning in October

Details of your catches:

36 Carp and 2 Catfish, 4 over 40lbs, 5 x30s 22 x20s and 5 doubles. The best catfish was 19lbs
The 40s were 44.08, 43.03, 42.04 and 40.04.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bottom baits on blowback rigs or wafters on d rigs. Fishing to showing fish or bays/ margins.

We had the food package which was excellent, I recommend this to anyone.

Gary and Angie were excellent hosts who made you feel very welcome.
The lake is fairly new but has great potential to improve as the fish grow.
Gary has plans to further improve the lake and its facilities which will make it even better.
We would fully recommend this venue.

We have used Angling Lines for many years, their service is always first class, no need to look anywhere else for a great holiday.

General Comments:

Even though we had heavy rain for 2.5 days which made the venue very muddy, once the weather improved the lake was excellent.
All the fish were in great condition, Gary manages the lake very well.

Details of your catches:

First time to Eau De Vie. A brilliant place and great weeks fishing. It was opening week and a very wet start to the season. Just Anglers fishing just days and we managed 16 fish in total. 3 in the 40s with the biggest being 46lb Scaley Mirror Carp.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Gary is great and helped refine our rigs using house boilies with pop-up topper. Worked a treat and didn't have anything less than 20lbers. Fishing out the far parts on both sides of the island worked. No need to get right into the far margins, although a bait boat would definitely help later in the season when the trees are overhanging with branches.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Brilliant wee Cabin that worked ideal for the 2 of us. Electricty, gas hob, kettle, hot water kept us right. Might be a squeeze for bigger groups who want to spend time inside. Plenty of room on the bank for a bivvy.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, very. Gary and Angeline are super helpful.

General Comments:

Great place with big fish in both North and South lakes. Having a hot breakfast and dinner option on site is a luxury.
