45 carp made up of great looking commons and mirrors. Also grass carp that fight like submarines. Mostly 20’s and thirties a couple of doubles and forties.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Worked hard due to the weather extremes and tried a range of tactics during the hottest part of the week. Boilie tipped with pop up corn worked best. When the water cooled the fish switched on and fishing was much easier taking singles when showing or over beds of bait. Rigs used ronnies and I’d rigs (standard for us)

Were the facilities what you expected?

Shower was good and nice kitchen area. Fridges and freezers were fine with lots of room for each peg. Designated charging point for each swim was really good.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, Mark and Anita and the other team members all work hard to keep everything tip top.
Must say the other anglers all did there bit etc by keeping things clean after use.

General Comments:

Angling Lines were as always superb and I feel safe in the knowledge they are managing my booking. They were brilliant when I had to make a travel change and keep me in the loop at all times.
Mark is a credit to the fishery. He has tremendous knowledge of fishing in general and the nuances of each lake. Gives great advice and wants you to catch. He helped us when we had an issue with bait and always found time to talk when he was busy. Anita looks after the food and facilities and does a great job. They both are really positive and work tirelessly for the anglers.
We are already booked on for 25 and 26. Can”t wait!

Details of your catches:

Excellent trip for both of us. 80 carp (not including numerous tench, small carp and a lone catfish). Fish size was 5 x 40s, 26 x 30s, 38 x 20s and 11 x teens. Weather was wet for 3 days then warmed up back end of the week and the fish started to spawn on the Friday. Didn't fish the nights as action was fast and furious. If you want a lake for a few bites, I can't recommend J7 more!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Keep it simple - slipped Ds to change hooks quick and a supple hook link due to silty bottom. Bottom baits and wafters did the trick. P/fish and house boilies were our chosen baits.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Shower was good and indoor eating area was excellent (especially as it was wet for first few days). We had the food package at 165 euros and it was absolutely spot on! Saved all the food prep and hassle plus rested the lake for a bit.

Were you happy with them?

All the facilities were in good order and worked well. There's a large freezer for bait, kitchen, shower, toilet and indoor eating area. Remember these are all shared for the 3 lakes but wasn't an issue.

Yes, this would an awesome holiday for your first time in france or you want a runs water as a confidence booster.

General Comments:

Pretty lake, loads of fish and great owners. You don't need more.

Details of your catches:

We had around 45 fish most around the 30 lbs, however we did get 3 at 40lbs including a pb common of 42.7lbs, 2 lovely koi and ghost carp.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All came to bottom baits, house boilies work well, so does cell, fished over partiblend, maize and house pellets, bait boated to the far margin.

General Comments:

The facilities are very good, I feel a wc at lake 7 and 8 end would be nice as it take a long time to walk to them, Mark does not like you driving around to them more than 2 times a day and rightly so as this upsets the guys on the main lake. All in all we had a fantastic time, good fishing in wonderful countryside.
