General Comments:

Beautiful lake in picturesque surroundings. The bailiff mark and his wife anita are the friendliest of people mark goes out of his way to help in any way he can and anita's food package is incredible. It was the perfect place for our first time in France.

Book with Angling Lines last year and was great, this year very disappointed

General Comments:

Bailiff was really welcoming and helpfull and site was clean and tidy!!

As for the fishing it was quite terrible carp were not feeding at all, only found out when we got there that the lake is actually used as a stock pond to rear silver fish and tench must be thousands of them in there!! Really disappointed we were never made aware of this when we booked because it totally ruined our weeks fishing, all our baits were just getting hammerd by the small fish. Will not be returning.

*Angling Lines note* From talking to bailiff Mark regarding your trip, we fully sympathise that it was a tricky week and the carp just weren't particularly on the feed. We're saddened that you think the silver fish and tench contributed to the lack of carp caught, the lake is indeed netted each year to remove and sell these species but this is not something that has caused a complaint with any angler previously to our knowledge. Indeed, many of our lakes are netted each year as standard practice and we believe that the size of the carp in Jonchery is testament to the lake's many years of good management.

Despite the lack of fish, I still love this lake and the hosts, Mark & Anita. Already booked for next year and looking to go again in 2020. Mark is an absolute gent, with a wealth of knowledge which he is more than happy to share.
