Excellent very clean and fridge for keeping beers cool, large freezer for bait, shower is brilliant nice and warm and a good flow

General Comments:

This is a gem of a lake, no one peg fishes the best week on week from reading the catch reports, the fish are immaculate condition, we had a fast start to the week in our peg then when the sun came out slowed down but still picking the odd fish up daily as they migrated down the other end of the lake.
Mark the bailiff is a star he will spend time with you helping put you on the known spots and really wants you to have a good holiday and catch fish, even if you are catching he will come around at least once a day to see if everything is ok or just to be sociable to make sure your happy without being over the top, roll on September when I get another go fishing this place

Everything was clean and acceptable, freezers for bait and food fridge also and a cooker all provided, kitchen was clean

General Comments:

We found mark the bailiff very helpful and friendly, meals they provided were excellent, everybody in the group enjoyed there carping holiday and can't wait to go back to jonchery and we as a group will be rebooking jonchery in two years time as we have another venue booked for next year but for 2020 we will book for jonchery.

We had 47 fish including 3 over 50lb with a good mix of mirror, common and grass carp, we also managed to land a couple of the resident koi's and a lovely zip linear

The majority of fish were caught over beds of pellet

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities are good, there is a fridge and a generous freezer along with microwave and cooker in the kitchen and plenty of plug sockets for charging. One of our group did take an extension lead which helped later in the week when everybody wanted to recharge various batteries.

Mark and Anita are great hosts and will do everything they can to make you feel welcome. Mark is always on hand if you need / want advice but is never pushy.
