General Comments:

Only negative points for the trip , the rats where really bad at the venue We booked a cabin for the outward journey and would expect the same for the return journey, but wasn’t booked any accommodation, bad service *Angling Lines note* We're really sorry that you think we overlooked something on your booking. As accommodation is not compulsory on the day crossings, many clients opt not to take it, and so we do not book it unless it is specifically requested. We are always happy to make changes to your booking and do ask anglers to check the details on their Info Pack, which in this case would have shown that there was no accommodation booked on the inbound day ferry crossing.

Details of your catches:

Even though the weather was very unsettled, we caught 70 fish in total, with the highlight a new lake record Common at 54lbs 4oz. In addition we had 6 x 40lbs+, and 22 x 30lbs +

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Most fish were caught from the far bank mainly from swims 1 & 2. These were caught on krill or manila 20mm boilies. In addition we caught a small number of fish on the surface.

Were the facilities what you expected?

This was our second year at La Fonte so we knew the facilities well.

Were you happy with them?

Yes we were very happy with the facilities, especially the service offered by Joanne and Jan who provided great food and company.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, this is a greats runs water where you can catch fish to over 50lbs. The only issue is the number of snags in the water and the newly roped off area which has limited swim 3 significantly. These impact on the fishing but we are aware the owner will be taking steps to improve matters.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes, this is our 6th trip with Angling Lines we have always found them exceptional in all of our dealings with them. We will be using them next year.

General Comments:

Great fishing, great food, what more do you want from a trip to France. It is highly recommended you use bait boats at this venue.

Kev =2 Doubles , 3 ×Twenties to 28lb, 2 ×30s to 36lb 1 ×40, 43lb 12. Rob= aged 12. 1× double . 5×20s to 29lb 6 . 1×30. 31lb. Mike = 1 small common. 10×20s to 29lb 2. 8×30s to 39lb 7. 1× 30lb 4 Grass carp. Rob only fished 3 nights.

General Comments:

We all had a very enjoyable stay. Some heavy thunderstorms made fishing hard at times. Wives and Robert enjoyed staying in the Gite, and visiting local towns where markets were on. They also visited Paris by train and had a great day.

Details of your catches:

Only 18 carp caught 6 bream and the uncaught catfish for two years @ 103lb 120z. Carp from 40lb 14oz down to 5lb. Mostly 30s were caught. 1 angler had 3 carp 5lb 26lb and 40lb 14oz. Lost 2 and had 3 bream 1 angler had 1 carp 26lb 2 bream and a 103lb 12oz catfish 1 angler caught nothing and lost 2 Myself I did 14 carp from 19lb to 39lb 12oz and 1 bream using dna baits

General Comments:

We didn't fish much in the day mostly evenings through to the morning. Weather was hot with high pressure. Swim 3 had a few snags near the island but I waded out and removed around 15 rotten tree stumps and big branches inc loads of line. Was a pleasure rowing over the rope for Phillipe to stop anglers fishing too close to the island from now on. Joannes food was very good and we all loved her company.
