About the Lake
The 1.3 acre lake is for up to 2 anglers and the main double swim is a flat grass area on the 'island', reached by a short walkway. You can also fish from the dam wall and stalk in the margins at various points.
The lake has a sandy bottom with silt patches and depths vary to just over 2 metres. There are no significant snags, weed or poisson chat to worry about.
The lake does have some crayfish present so it pays to be prepared. Include some artificial hookbaits and mesh or plastic heatshrink tubing in your tackle just in case they are active during your visit. You'll find lots more information on how to combat them on our Blog.
You are welcome to use a baitboat and there is a rowing boat on site for the express purpose of baiting up and freeing any snagged fish (life jacket is provided and must be worn at all times).
Landing net, mat, weigh sling, cradle, tripod and scales are provided.
