To help you get the very best from your session, we offer a carefully selected range of bait designed specifically for the lake.

Our carp are fed daily on a high-quality fishmeal-based pellet, and the boilies available on-site have been chosen to closely match this feeding programme. This creates a consistent food signal in the water and helps anglers achieve more reliable results throughout the week.

Many anglers find that using the lake’s recommended bait gives them a real advantage, particularly on longer stays.

5 – 10kg per week per angler
For the most consistent results, use Pro-P as your main feed bait, as this closely matches the fish’s regular diet. Spicy fish can be added alongside or as a hookbait. Tuna-Liver-Scopex is particularly effective as a hookbait or when you need something a little different, especially in really warm weather.

Wafters are often the most consistent choice, particularly when fishing over boilies. The 16mm wafters are the most consistent, but the smaller ones can be very effective if things are slow.

Please note; Bait orders are made directly between you and the lake. We (Angling Lines) cannot be held responsible for any problems that may subsequently arise. If you order bait we strongly recommend you telephone or Email a few days before your arrival to make sure it will be ready for you. In 99% of cases this will just be purely precautionary, but bait is such an important part of your holiday that it’s only sensible to take every step to avoid problems.

We currently have a total of six rods available to hire (or you can opt to hire just three):
6 x rods, reels, bank sticks and alarms £120 (£100 deposit)
3 x rods, reels, bank sticks and alarms £60 (£50 deposit)
Bed chair £20 (£10 deposit)
1 man bivvy £50 (£25 deposit)
2 man bivvy £60 (£30 deposit)

Deposits are refunded at the end of the week if the tackle is returned in good condition. 

Please note; Landing net, mat, weigh sling, cradle, tripod and scales are provided free of charge. We ask that you do not use your own landing nets or slings at this venue.
