General Comments:

This is probably the Best Lake for big fish in France. If you find the fish you will almost certainly get a PB.

General Comments:

Arriving at this venue for the first time , we were all taken back by how lovely the lake and surroundings are. Being the only girl amongst 6 male anglers, I knew I had my work cut out ! after we picked ours swims and mine being at the Pointe , I decided to let it rest until the evening which I then baited up a small beds of baits consisting in Laroussi partiblend and sweetcorn. My first rod went out and at 4AM I landed a fantastic 54lb mirror beating my PB by 14lb then my next rod came in at 52lb mirror followed by another 52lb in less than 24h ! I went on to catch severals more fish , a 48lb mirror , 24lb and 18lb grass carp and a couple of tench. What a fantastic week as my fellow angler who managed a 73lb lake record sturgeon , a 38lb mirror and a huge 62lb mirror ! Not bad for a girl ! Thank you Laroussi ! Amanda Groves

mirrors: 48lb, 45lb, 34lb, and the pretty common at 34lb 3oz. sturgeons: 70lb, 50lb, 46lb. John the catman Allen caught an amazing cat at 93lb!! (wow what a fish) Photo's to follow.

it was very cold, (water temp 12 degrees) the Carp were in deep water but showing, small PVA bags with 5-10 boilies around the hook bait fished in the deeper water seemed to work best.

General Comments:

Laroussi was as beautiful as ever, Medi had cut back a lot of the more problematic growth from a lot of the swims. It was a very difficult week to fish, constant cold wind from the north, the Carp were in the deeper water and only feeding for short periods, hence smaller amounts of freebies seemed to work better, large baited area's were not working? this lake can be a very hard venue to fish and always sets a challenge, equally this lake can switch on at a moments notice and all can seem easy. P.S sit on your hands and let takes take off!! hit them early at your peril.
