it was very cold, (water temp 12 degrees) the Carp were in deep water but showing, small PVA bags with 5-10 boilies around the hook bait fished in the deeper water seemed to work best.

General Comments:

Laroussi was as beautiful as ever, Medi had cut back a lot of the more problematic growth from a lot of the swims. It was a very difficult week to fish, constant cold wind from the north, the Carp were in the deeper water and only feeding for short periods, hence smaller amounts of freebies seemed to work better, large baited area's were not working? this lake can be a very hard venue to fish and always sets a challenge, equally this lake can switch on at a moments notice and all can seem easy.
P.S sit on your hands and let takes take off!! hit them early at your peril.

General Comments:

The Cat I had was the best screaming run I have ever had. On conecting with it the Cat just took line. Amazing fight and the most beautiful colouring I have seen, it was like marble flesh.

great place but hard fishing at times the fish are there if you are lucky enough to get on them

3 Mirror carp of 41lb 6oz, 71lb 12oz!! PB, 56lb 4oz PB, common 40lb 2oz PB, Grass Carp 39lb 12oz PB, and 8 sturgeon to 71lb. Water was still very very cold, so, not many carp, however they were big.

Very tight bed of partyblend, pellets and hemp at 120 yds with single boilie (15mm from pc bait company) and lots of patience.

General Comments:

Was expecting a quiet week with the weather being so cold but at laroussi you just never know. very happy with 4 PBs. Medhi is a gentleman as always. Thanks to angling lines also for organising alternate ferry owing to strike.
