As one other angler said,what a difficult week. Medhi the owner confirmed on arrival that all carp were spawning one month early and not feeding. A lot of dropped faces.However,nobody's fault.My son David and I fished the point and whilst I tried very hard for carp in the difficult circumstances caught one common at 12lb, David caught 5 sturgeon all his PB at 43lb,45lb,47lb,47lb and just over 47lb.We know this wasn't what we were after but my son was happy with 229lb

General Comments:

Having been to Laroussi last year I know the potential of the lake and good stock of heavy carp. I will try to go back this year One last point.A sturgeon has been caught Medhi told us 51lb and recorded as 2nd largest in France.Record 54lb)

7 sturgeon 36 1/2 lb - 47 3/4 lb. Only 2 carp caught all week by 7 anglers as fish were spawning.

Freezer/fridge freezer very useful. If carp were not spawning, sure we would have caught better.

General Comments:

The venue's very well run. The owner Mehdi's the perfect host. Good rules. Some huge fish (saw them spawning) Excellent facilities. Secure Totally enclosed lake. Another angler has caught a 36lb and 54lb10oz. So 6 x 50Lb'er+ in 7 days(between the last week and this one ) can't be bad for any venue, can it?! A French angler caught the second Largest brown back sturgeon in France (51lb3/4) Would I return here ? You bet !!!

Unbelievable catches of big fish !!! 2 new PB Lovely lake, peacefull, clean, perfect facilities and very helpfull owner ! We will come back next year !
