General Comments:

The lake is very good and very clean, there are some very big fish but proved difficult to catch this week. Mehdi is very helpful and a nicer guy you could not meet. He helped us the best he could and pointed out a lot of the places the carp had been caught before. We will be back next year to try again !!!

General Comments:

After spending the first few days without seeing a carp in the swim I
decided (with Mehdi's help) to move into Le Chene as fish had been seen
crashing. Not wanting to over bait (as I think I may have done in the
previous swim) after finding the features Mehdi spoke about, I put out very
small PVA bags containing crushed boilie and 3mm shrimp pellet. The whole
bag was dipped in a liquid food source before casting. Finally, I sticked
out a few boilies to ensure some freebies were in the swim. The bait was the
new Solar Byt in 16mm.

I moved swim on Tuesday afternoon in between the rain showers but it wasn't
until 12.30am on the Thursday morning I had my first take. That night I had
three fish, all to the same rod; 13lb common, 21lb mirror and 50lb 10oz
mirror.

During the next day I lost a fish and went on to take a 35lb 10oz mirror the
next night. The following morning bought a frost and also a 25lb mirror.
The last fish was to come during Friday night, a common of about 6lb.
Interestingly, all bar one fish came to the same rod.

Given the depth of water and the weather conditions I think we went out too
early and the fish were very localised. Towards the end of the week they
were more active and I am sure the next parties would benefit from this.

Laroussi is a very well managed venue that has quality fish. From my parties
experience it is not a chuck and chance water but with a little effort and
common sense a good result can be achieved. All four of my party took at
least one thirty each.

I certainly will go back but much later in the year.
