We put in a lot of baits and probably knackered our own chances, we have been before and what we did had worked in the past but the weather was on the turn but everyone enjoyed

Lost more fish than we landed down to weed but both had 50lb plus fish, if we had landed the fish we lost what a week

Listen to the owner he put you on spots and use the owners bait with fake corn

General Comments:

Weed needs dealing with but probably down to hot summer, the owner is what everyone else says a real nice bloke

Details of your catches:

Over 30 fish, everyone banking something over the week with some really hot conditions. Medhi is a credit to French waters, very knowledgable and always smiling !! Couple of the party mentioned they would like Medhi to maybe walk around the lake a couple of times a week just to talk to the anglers and offer his knowledge at each swim but this is just a recommendation, far from a complaint!!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Pop up corn, balanced wafters or a mix on basic rigs or Slip D rigs did the business during the week. All bait supplied by Mainline plus Medhi's party mix spodded/boated out over the spods. 5-10 spods per spot twice a day.

Yes, basic but very clean and tidy when we arrived. Shower decent for a French lake.

Details of your catches:

Over 50 fish caught! with all anglers catching, lots of big grassies out to 51lb , and some awesome long commons (39'8) and big mirrors to 49lb, 6 forties in total, with two sturgeon over 60lb making an appearance also. The Fully Scaled was caught by Paul Baker at 48lb+ what a fish that is! Fish seemed to be held up on the no fishing bank, so Point Les Anse and Les Saules pegs had more bites from drop offs in margins with Open water not producing the goods on this occasion. Fihmeal Boilies (spotted fin Smokey Jack, RG Formula etc) and particle produced with snowman and single pop up pressentations

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Snowman rigs over fishmeal boilies, Spotted Fin Smokey Jack, RG Formula and DNA S7, fished in the drop off all the fish were down the no fishing bank, generally caught within a few rod lengths in the gullies. a few pegs did well putting lots of bait, other were nicking fish on singles.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Brilliant Facilities, Clean, Tidy, loads of supermarkets and Mcdonalds etc within 7 mins drive. Massive Chest freezer and fridge, UK sockets for charging shower was warm and powerful. The Lake is extremely secure and many have said it before but Medi is the nicest and most helpful lake owner i have ever met.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Highly recommend, its a medium to hard lake, we as a group did really well, no nuisance fish although the grassies and small cats can be a bit of a pain. A Great Venue and Medi makes the place, Highly recommend, but you do have to work for your fish, a great challenge
