With the temperature 36c when we arrived and it increasing to 40c in the week we were really up against it from day one. All anglers caught a mix of carp and cats - biggest was only a mid twenty. Fish of the week was an 8lb Tench. We did see some absolute units.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Wafters, Snowman and bottom baits. We used the lake baits - Option C package

Yes

Were you happy with them?

Yes. Nice shower with plenty of room for changing. Big fridge and freezer.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes - but if I went again, I'd certainly choose the cooler months.

Of course. Fourth time using Angling Lines.

General Comments:

We had already travelled with the mind set of 'you could be fishing for one big fish during the week' so not too disappointed with the weeks result, especially in roasting conditions. It is a beautiful lake, though it is quite snaggy around the margins. Medhi is a really nice chap and offered advice on spots to fish when asked.

Great week had by all, biggest fish was 47.10. The lake has some cracking fish, with the weather against us we still managed to land 17 fish

Bait boats are allowed but we went with the spomb, fishing over beds of bait

Were the facilities what you expected?

Small kitchen area with clean showers and toilet, we managed to cater for 17 people through out the week each day

Find spot on first day and stick to them all week. Simple rigs, used bait package on lake

Yes clean, plenty of plug sockets and freezer space for bait

General Comments:

Been before so knew what to expect, lake still looks brilliant. Nice clean fish, plenty of room as there was only us 2 on. Spoke to Mehdi and family, nice to catch up with them, don’t think you could find a better lake owner. Listen to what he says as he knows the lake very well. We will be back

Four anglers on the lake only 4 fish between us, 2 grass carp and two small mirrors 57lb and 58lb, grassies 20lb and 15lb mirrors

We tried everything including zigs but to no avail, cold ne wind and high pressure didn't help

Yes, fridge and freezer, shower and toilet refurbished and plenty of charging points

Yes, but Laroussi is not an easy lake
