General Comments:

Seem to to be a lot of 20lb carp Big fish came after rain putting oxygen in water. Plenty of rats seen can something be done

Details of your catches:

40 carp out between us, all commons and mirrors. Biggest 42lb. All runs at night due to continuing hot weather, not ideal conditions.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Really we were all doing different things, mainly fishing to the floating bouys, with large hook baits. sing maize & Boilies. I found washed out boilies work well on this lake leave the bait in.

Details of your catches:

28 fish caught between 6 people.
Mostly mid 20’s with a handful of mid and upper 30’s and two fish in their 40’s.

There were strong winds for the week and the fish seemed to hang off the back of the wind. This meant the group on the opposite side had an amazing weeks fishing catching over 50 fish between 3 of them.

It was colder than normal for the time of year. Sebastian the owner said if it were warmer it would have fished a lot better.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All types of rigs and baits were used across our group. Nearly everyone fished to the rope.
Don’t ignore the margins or bays if you have an end swim at either end of the lake.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were ample for a drive and survive venue. Good shower block, toilet and large chest freezer also two large fridge freezers for both north and south parties.

They have UK plugs so you can charge everything you need.

General Comments:

We were initially booked on another venue but sadly they had a fish kill.
Angling lines couldn’t have done more for us. They provided several other venues for us as a back up option.
Great communication and did everything possible so that we had a great fishing holiday.

2 x 40lb up to 44lb

All tactics from bottom baits, wafters and pop ups worked well. Regularly topping up the spots with bait to keep bites coming.
