Excellent lake. Pukka bailiff in Richard. Good fishing even with coming from spawning.

General Comments:

Great lake in beautiful surroundings. Pristine carp. Richard is a great bloke, very knowledgeable, well kept lake and very helpful.

34 fish in total. Carp - 1*40, 7*30's, 19*20's, 3*doubles. Catfish 2*39[caught twice], 1*35, 1*15

All tactics seemed to work, weather was very variable which seemed to slow things down at times. PVA bags, Pop-up's, wafters, topped baits of various colours all caught. Fish came from the spots Richard suggested.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are good and everything was exactly as we expected as we fished Lillypool last year

Yes all OK and as you'd expect in a fishing lodge.

Yes if you want to catch fish of a high standard but not huge which is exactly what we had planned.

General Comments:

Brilliant week. The lake and facilities are second to none. Richard the owner who himself is a fisherman has done a great job, with a great understanding of what fisherman require. I could have caught more if i'd have moved about a bit, i night fished for one night only as the wife was poorly. I can't speak highly enough about the cabin, situated perfectly.
