General Comments:

A slow week due to difficult conditions. The highlight was Daniel catching the fish that holds the lake record, currently weighing 44lb.8. Richard is a very nice person who is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our chats over a beer very much. Overall a very enjoyable holiday!

Very hot weather, fishing was better at night. Richard very nice man and very helpful, would have a pint with him anytime!

Not at this time of year if the weather and water levels were as we had. I am sure this venue fishes well in the Spring/ Autumn/ Winter, however with the conditions as they were we had little or no chance of it fishing well. Very disappointing after paying so much for a weeks fishing holiday.

General Comments:

We arrived with the water levels extremely low. So low in fact that I would say they were 30-40% down on normal levels due to the adverse hot weather conditions encountered in the area over the last few months.. The fish in my opinion were struggling just to survive and definitely not feeding and we had 3 fish mortalitys over the 1st few days due to the conditions. The welcome rain came later in the week lowering the water temperature, oxygenating and putting a bit of life back into the lake - but it did not recover enough or in time for it to fish well -perhaps the next party will benefit from it although I am of the opinion that it should be left to recover before anyone else fishes it! I could not fault the facilities or Richard the owner who is a true gent and who could not be held responsible for the condition of the lake as it was it of his hands, but if I was asked did we get value for money my answer would be a resounding - no!! *Angling Lines note* Water levels were at their lowest ever having dropped around 6" in a week. Heavy storms since mean the lake has recouped some of the water loss. These water levels were abnormal and unprecedented at this lake. We have since resolved this with the customer.
