Only 3 anglers made the trip and we caught 32 Carp:
2-doubles: 18-20's: 10-30's: and 2-40's

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All methods used caught carp, ranging from large beds of bait from Bait Boat to single hook-baits cast out.
Boilies fished as Pop-up's and bottom baits caught equally, although heavy baiting seemed to put the fish off.
Margins and open water shots produced more fish than the Lilies and Island.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes - somewhat tired but perfectly adequate for what we wanted.

Were you happy with them?

Yes - Considering the continuous usage they are subjected to the accommodation and facilities were better than average.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, with reservations.
The close proximity of the busy road prevents this from being a tranquil venue, although the fishing made up to some extent.
We have booked much more relaxing venues, with similar stocking densities and fish sizes, at a similar cost.
Richard, the bailiff, was very helpful and friendly, and is an asset to the water.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes, as it makes the whole booking and payment process very easy, and the backup communications are a bonus.
The only drawback is the cost of Eurotunnel, which we could have got at a much better price, but were unable to take advantage of.

General Comments:

"Thank You!" Angling Lines. The whole experience was very enjoyable and we had a great week's fishing in good surroundings, with a bailiff who provided excellent information and advice when requested but didn't intrude.

43 carp to 43lb. 1x 64lb catfish. Plenty of carp from island/lily's. Catfish from near blue airator.

General Comments:

Torrential rain at the start of the week. But gradual improvement. Noisy frog's. But a nice lake worth another visit.

Details of your catches:

I beat my pb within the first day of being on lillypool with a great 31.10 common and later during the week i beat it again with a 41.8 mirror. My mate had a 62.2 cat but we had a brilliant catch record with all 18 fish being over 22.1ib

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We used cell bait with just throughing small amounts out as didnt want to over bait at the time of our visit particle mix didnt really do much for us

Yes very happy except for when the naighbours decided to have a big bombfire right behing our bivvys the fields next to us

Great place to go richard on site staff was excellent.he knows alot about the fisherie and is very happy to help i will be looking to return to lillypool in the near future

All in all a tough week with 25 carp to 36lb a pike and 3 tench.

Single cell, most fish came from shallow end of the lake.
