Details of your catches:

The weather was great sunbathing weather, and not great fishing weather during the day, I caught fish up to 31lb 12oz, all the fish came from shaded margins, or under trees. All were mirror carp.

Catches were from 10am through to 12:30am, one coming at 1:30pm when is was above 35 degrees.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I used house pellets, corn and boilies, catches came from pop up, and double fake corn.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were great, as they were the year before, the hot tub was a welcome area to spend an hour at sunset.
The pool does need cleaning.

Can't wait to go back next July.
Fingers crossed I'll catch more fish, and the crayfish will not be a problem.

Details of your catches:

Around 20 fish caught from mid week between the 2 anglers. Also some tiddlers on float fishing by the other. Majority of our fish were in the 30’s, biggest caught was 38.5 lbs

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Listen to the advice given. Fish on the margins, paying attention to the willow tree on the left and the island on the right. The bait provided by the lake was top quality and coconut worked best with a yellow pop up. Majority of catches came late afternoon/early evening when the sun wasn’t the hottest

Exceeded our expectations. Very spacious in all rooms. Clean and everything you needed

General Comments:

Big thanks to Mick who went above and beyond. Friendly and made to feel very welcome. Closest supermarket SuperU is 10 min drive in Garron, other direction 15min drive is a Lidl and McDonald’s. Wednesday nights there’s a live music night in the Red Lion pub which is 2 mins up the road and they have a kebab van which was very well received.

19 Carp to 46lb over 5 days and 2 nights

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Plenty of pellet, boilie and particle. I used over 85kg and didn't fish the whole week!!

Yes the facilities were superb very roomy, clean and everything provided.

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely... very good for just a holiday regardless of the the fishing. The hot tub got plenty of use.

General Comments:

Mystique is a great venue with a very good knowledgeable angler owner (Mick) who is also extremely kind in helping out and providing assistance.

3 x fish between 25 & 28LB
7 x fish between 30 & 34LB

Fishing pellet & boilie in reasonable quantity, using the venues bait, wafters as hook baits.

The facilities were great, nice modern lodge with everything you need, clean and tidy. The hot tub is also a great touch.

Absolutely, it is perfect for a relaxing family get away with the chance of catching some great fish.

General Comments:

The owner Michael is a great host, really helpful, helps you out with the fishing spots, his bait is probably the best quality bait I have used in over 25 years of carp fishing.
The fish are in great condition fought really hard and with an average over 30 pound then venue offers some fantastic fishing.
Accommodation is perfect, really well equipped kitchen, dish washer and washing machine. Thank you for a great trip and I hope to return in the future.
